This website is designed for high school art educators and students, who are interested in photography. The resources are designed to inspire and encourage educators and students with a variety of levels in experience with the genre, to make interesting and technically sound images. The website focuses on local contemporary photographers in order to emerse you into what is happening in your own city. We believe that in order to be successful, you should have the right information at your fingertips!
The resources here are separated into categories that deal with specific types of photography: commercial, documentary, and staged narrative. Each section profiles local contemporary photographers, and links to their website.
The website also features tutorials on everything from how to decide which camera is right for you, to using photoshop to enhance your photos post click.
There is also a section that has additional photography resources such as gallery websites in the city, and photoblogs that we find interesting.
For educators, we have included some sample lesson plans for photography in the classroom.
